In Assam, the BJP alliance has reached an agreement in 86 seats

New Delhi
The BJP alliance has won 86 seats in the Assam Assembly elections. The BJP is allied with the Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) and the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL). In Assam, which has 126 constituencies, the polls will be held in three phases on April 27, April 1 and 6.

In the first phase, elections will be held in 47 constituencies. Elections will be held in 39 constituencies in the second phase and in 40 constituencies in the third phase. In the 2016 elections, the BJP won 60 seats and the AGP 14 seats. UPPL is new to the alliance. They have no MLAs.
