
Kochi: Police have registered a case towards KPCC president Okay Sudhakaran for insulting Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan through the Thrikkakara by-election marketing campaign. Palarivattom police have registered a case below Section 153 of the IPC for hate speech. The motion was taken on the grievance of CPI (M) activists.
In an interview to on-line media, Okay Sudhakaran mocked the Chief Minister of Kerala as a “dog who breaks the chain”. There was widespread protest towards Sudhakaran’s remarks. After this, Sudhakaran had stated that he had talked about a folks type of Malabar and if the Chief Minister discovered it troublesome, he would withdraw.
