New Delhi> The organizers of the ceremony honoring the Worldwide Booker Prize winner Geetanjali Shri have canceled following a grievance that the novel comprises references to Hindu gods. The grievance was filed by Sandeep Kumar, a local of Sadabad in Hathras district. The grievance is that Geetanjali’s novel comprises objectionable references to Lord Shiva and Parvati.
Geetanjali is the primary author in Indian language to win the Worldwide Booker Prize. Ranglila official Anil Shukla knowledgeable that the occasion was canceled because of the controversy of the grievance in opposition to Mr. Geenjali.
Geejanjali advised the organizers that the incident bothered her and that she wouldn’t take part in public occasions in the interim.
