NEW DELHI: Senior Congress chief AK Antony’s son Anil Ok Antony on Wednesday introduced his resignation from the occasion and mentioned there have been “intolerant calls to retract a tweet by those fighting for free speech”.
Taking to Twitter, Anil Ok Antony mentioned: “I have resigned from my roles in @incindia @INCKerala. Intolerant calls to retract a tweet,by those fighting for free speech. I refused. @facebook wall of hate/abuses by ones supporting a trek to promote love! Hypocrisy thy name is! Life goes on.”
He was the nationwide coordinator of the Congress’ social media cell.
In his resignation letter, Anil Ok Antony mentioned: “Contemplating the occasions from yesterday, I imagine it could be applicable for me to depart all my roles within the Congress — because the Convener of KPCC Digital Media, and because the Nationwide Co-coordinator of AICC Social Media and Digital Communications Cell.
