Jagannath Rath Yatra: Lord Balabhadra's idol slipped, 9 people injured |

Puri: An accident passed off on Tuesday through the world well-known Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra in Odisha. When the chariot reached the home of the Lord's aunt, an idol of Lord Balabhadra slipped and fell on the servants, injuring 9 individuals. This accident occurred when the idol of Lord Balabhadra was being taken down from the chariot to the Adapa Mandap of Gundicha temple after the journey. Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain stated that out of the 9 injured, 5 have been admitted to the hospital for therapy, whereas the opposite 4 have suffered minor accidents, they didn’t have to be despatched to the hospital. He stated that this accident occurred when the idol of a heavy woman was being taken down from the chariot of Lord Balabhadra to take it to the Gundicha temple. Chief Minister expressed concern

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed concern over the Rath Yatra accident.
