Jamaat affiliation: good league, bad Congress; The problem is that it was defeated

Kozhikode
Criticism in the Muslim League that the friendship with the religious nationalist Jamaat-e-Islami has been severed. A section of the Congress said that the Jamaat’s relationship with the League was tempting. Leading figures in the Congress and the League have blamed Jamaat-e-Islami for the loss of Christian votes.

The analysis shows that the warning given by the leaders of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama (EK faction) has been heeded. After the panchayat elections, the public declaration was that there was no agreement with the Jamaat’s Welfare Party. But the top brass of the league intervened and the secret understanding continued. Welfare left without competing. Candidates were fielded in only 19 seats. In Koduvalli, Mankada and Perinthalmanna constituencies Assistance was also received in Azhikode, Kuttyadi and Perambra. In Thrissur, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki districts, not only the Kerala Congress (Jose) but also the Congress candidates are observed to be the cause of the setback.

The problem is that it was defeated
The Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama (EK faction) leadership also feels that the League and the Congress have invited defeat. From the amendment of the Citizenship Act to the extreme laziness in criticizing the RSS and the BJP, Samastha sees the UDF as the cause of the defeat. League leaders had publicly insulted Samastha General Secretary TK Alikutty Muslyar and Musharraf member Umar Faizi Mukkam, who had supported the government on the issue of citizenship. When Amit Shah and his leaders insulted Kerala and the government, the UDF leaders did not open their mouths.

Voters may also have been affected by the response from Chief Minister Amit Shah. They also see the claim that the LDF won with the help of the BJP of the League leaders as a cover-up.

League High Authority Today
The Muslim League leadership meeting on Thursday sought the cause of the unexpected defeat. The high-powered committee meeting comes at a time when the onslaught on the leadership is intensifying over the loss of seats and setbacks. The meeting will be held at Malappuram Panakkad at 10 am. A meeting of the League’s new legislators will also be convened. The league, which contested in 27 constituencies, won only 15 seats.
