Kejriwal meets Delhi LG for first time since raids at Sisodia’s house


NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday met Lt. Governor VK Saxena for the primary time because the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had carried out raids at Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence in August.

This was the primary weekly assembly — that takes place each Friday between the Chief Minister and the Lt. Governor, after the raids.

Addressing the media after the assembly, CM Kejriwal mentioned that the assembly concluded in a “happy environment”, and each mentioned a number of points associated to the capital metropolis within the assembly.

“We have weekly meeting with the Lt governor. But for the last few weeks, the meeting was not held as I was out of town. Today, the meeting concluded in conducive environment and we both discussed several issues of the city,” mentioned Kejriwal.

“I have made request to him that we together will work for the issues pertaining to the Municipal corporation,” the Chief Minister added.

The problems of ‘rubbish mountains’, and fixing the sanitation system within the metropolis had been additionally mentioned through the assembly, Kejriwal informed the media.

Responding to the query of ongoing tussle over a number of points with LG after the raids at Sisodia’s home, the Delhi Chief Minister mentioned: “Whatever happened was unfortunate. I hope the situation will improve now. Today, there was a very good atmosphere between the two of us.”
