KSEB poll completed; Counting of votes tomorrow

97.24 per cent turnout in KSEB commerce union opinion polls. Out of 26,246 workers, 25,522 voted in favor. 22,949 males and 2573 girls registered to vote. Kerala State Electricity Board Employees ‘Affiliation (CITU), Kerala State Electricity Employees’ Union, Kerala Electricity Employees Federation (AITUC), Kerala Electricity Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), United Democratic Workers Pleasant, Seven commerce unions are within the fray.

Kannur topped the polls with 98.11 per cent turnout. Voting share in different districts: Thiruvananthapuram 96.81, Kollam – 97.92, Pathanamthitta – 96.52, Alappuzha – 98.10, Kottayam – 97.37, Idukki – 95.71, Ernakulam – 97.35, Thrissur – 96.68, Palakkad – 97.94, Malappuram – – 96.70, Kozhikode –- 97.45, Wayanad –- 97.20, Kasargod –- 97.06.

The KSEB Employees’ Affiliation (CITU) is hoping to amass the standing of Soul Bargaining Agent. Elamaram Kareem, State President, KSEB Employees ‘Affiliation and S Harilal, General Secretary, KSEB Employees’ Affiliation stated that this was a historic victory.

Solely organizations that get at the least 15 % of the vote can be acknowledged. A corporation that achieves greater than 40 per cent can have the standing of Principal Bargaining Agent and people who obtain greater than 50 per cent can have the standing of Soul Bargaining.
