The move comes as Kovid continues to expand. The ban on entry for foreigners was extended indefinitely on Saturday.
The decision was taken by the cabinet meeting held on Monday night. Restaurants will not be allowed to sit and eat in restaurants from Wednesday. The order applies to restaurants and cafes within shopping malls. Currently, it is forbidden to sit and eat only from 8 pm to 5 am. The cabinet rejected the health ministry’s recommendation to implement the curfew.
This is the second time in two months that the Kuwaiti border has been closed. Earlier, the land and naval borders were closed from December 22 to January 1.
