Lawyer arrested for writing threatening letter to CBI judge

Asansol | Asansol courtroom lawyer Sudiptya Roy has been arrested for writing a threatening letter to a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) choose Rajesh Chakraborty. These judges are listening to the case of ruling Trinamool Congress chief Anuvrat Mondal within the state for unlawful commerce of cattle from West Bengal to Bangladesh. Official sources gave this info on Tuesday. The accused lawyer was arrested on Monday close to the Asansol courtroom in Paschim Vardhman and shall be produced earlier than the ACJM courtroom a little bit later.

CBI Choose Rajesh Chakraborty in Asansol has purportedly acquired a letter threatening to implicate his household within the medicine case if he doesn’t grant bail to Trinamool Congress’s Virbhum district president Anuvrat Mandal within the animal smuggling case. Mandal is at present in judicial custody for 2 weeks.

The arrested lawyer is accused of writing a threatening letter within the title of Bappa Chatterjee to the CBI choose. Chatterjee is the top clerk within the Asansol courtroom. In the meantime, a three-member group of CBI officers reached Asansol Correctional Home on Tuesday to interrogate Anuvrat Mandal. Mandal was arrested by the CBI on August 11 and has been in judicial custody since August 24.
