The accident occurred on Dedhtalai-Sheikhpura street
Dedhtalai police outpost in-charge Dilip Singh mentioned that the incident occurred on the Dedhtalai-Sheikhpura street, about 60 km from Buhranpur district headquarters. He instructed that there was a head-on collision between a truck filled with sugarcane and one other truck carrying laborers. On this accident, 5 individuals touring within the truck carrying laborers died on the spot and 9 others had been injured.

Dilip Singh mentioned that the deceased have been recognized as Parvati (32), Nandini (12), Durga (14), Ramesh (35) and Jamwanti Bai (32). He instructed that the injured have been admitted to a close-by hospital.
Truck driver absconded from the spot after the accident
The police officer mentioned that after the incident, the motive force of the sugarcane truck fled from the spot. Singh instructed {that a} case has been registered on this matter at Khaknar police station and detailed investigation is occurring.
