Maha: 11 killed, 24 injured in two accidents on Mumbai-Goa highway


Ratnagiri/Sindhudurg: Not less than 11 individuals had been killed and one other 24 injured in two separate accidents on the Mumbai-Goa Freeway in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, right here on Thursday, officers stated.

Within the first incident, a minimum of 9 individuals died immediately when their automotive collided with a truck which purportedly misplaced management round 5 am, close to Mangaon in Ratnagiri.

Whereas 5 males and 4 girls perished, a four-year-old boy was retrieved injured from the wreckage and rushed to the native authorities hospital.

Within the second incident, two passengers had been killed and 23 others harm when a rushing personal bus overturned close to Kankavli village in Sindhudurg.

The bus was continuing from Mumbai to Goa and suffered the mishap at a treacherous curve close to a bridge on the Gad river, officers stated.

Native villagers together with rescue groups, hearth brigade and police are on the accident websites and additional particulars are awaited.
