Maha Opposition slams UP CM Yogi’s road-show as politics of ‘religion and biz’

MUMBAI: Maharashtra’s opposition events on Thursday attacked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s “road show” for buyers in Mumbai with the Congress and Shiv Sena-UBT labeling it as politics of “religion and business”.

Presently on a 2-day go to to Mumbai, Adityanath flagged off a road-show in south Mumbai on Thursday morning after which was closeted with representatives of India Inc, prime bankers, enterprise honchos, and movie personalities to draw investments for the 3-day International buyers meet scheduled in UP from February 10.

“Yogi is welcome to come and discuss investment prospects for UP… but what is the need for him to hold a road-show in Mumbai? It is nothing but politics of business and this must stop,” Shiv Sena MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut mentioned.

Congress state President Nana Patole puzzled what was the compulsion to carry a road-show in Mumbai to draw investments in UP when Adityanath is thought for enjoying the politics of faith.

He suspected it was a ploy to divert Maharashtra’s investments to UP, however Raut warned such a transfer wouldn’t be tolerated.

Raut identified how Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis might be attending the upcoming World Financial Discussion board meet in Davos (Switzerland) subsequent fortnight.

“Do you expect them (Shinde-Fadnavis) to carry out a road-show on the streets of Davos? Then why does Yogi come to conduct a road show in Mumbai,” he requested.

Involving Shinde and Fadnavis, Patole claimed that the earlier Maha Vikas Aghadi authorities within the state was toppled with the intention of transferring out massive tasks and diverting enormous investments from Maharashtra to Gujarat, UP and different BJP-ruled states.

“UP’s law and order situation is very bad. Yogi is bulldozing the homes of the poor, minorities, and Dalits and women are unsafe in his rule. Who will dare to invest in such a state where the CM plays politics of religion,” he mentioned Patole sharply.

Referring to Adityanath’s conferences with some Bollywood actors on Wednesday, Raut softened his stance, saying that if UP is eager on establishing a movie business in that state, it will be welcome because the transfer may spur the event there.

“It was Dadasaheb Phalke who launched the movie business and bequeathed it to the entire nation, it belongs to everyone… There are already very massive movie industries within the south, Andhra Pradesh and I really feel the movie enterprise ought to come up in each state he mentioned.

Nevertheless, Raut mentioned it will be naive if anyone feels that the movie business will shift from Mumbai or prime stars may even go to settle there, however added that every one would assist contribute to the event of a film-city in UP.

Concurring, Patole mentioned that earlier, Adityanath made makes an attempt to seize and take away the movie business however after the efforts failed, the complete Bollywood was tarnished as a “den of drugs and vice”, particularly through the tenure of the MVA.

“This is nothing but an attempt to undermine the state and reduce its importance, now with the help of the ‘Khokha’ (cash) government and it won’t succeed,” he mentioned.
