West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday launched a scathing assault on the BJP over the political disaster in Maharashtra, claiming it was a deliberate ploy of the saffron camp to garner additional numbers in favor of its candidate for the upcoming presidential election. The chief minister stated, “Presidential election is near. BJP has less votes. Hence, they have chosen to topple the Maharashtra government this time by immoral means and using money power.”
Demanding justice for Uddhav Thackeray, Mamata Banerjee stated that BJP is bulldozing on democracy and federal construction within the nation.
He stated, “They are bulldozing the opposition everywhere, especially when there are protests against their undemocratic gesture. In Tripura they are not allowing people to vote freely. In West Bengal, they are central. They are harassing us through agencies, CBI, ED.”
He warned the BJP and stated, “You will be out of power someday. What will you do then? So don’t try to topple the government by using money power. Someday you may also face the same situation.” “
