Maharashtra government refuses to allow Baba Ramdev to sell coronil

In a major setback to the Baba Ramdev on Tuesday, the Maharashtra government has banned the sale of his anti-Kovid drug Coronil manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government has said that the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has questioned the tests of coronil, while the World Health Organization (WHO) has denied Patanjali Ayurved claims.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said doubts have also been raised about the ‘clinical trials’ of coronil and false claims on its efficacy for Kovid-19 treatment. He said, “It is disgraceful to introduce such a drug in a hurry and to be supported by two senior Union ministers.” Coronil will not be sold in Maharashtra without proper certification from competent health organizations like WHO, IMA. ”

Let us tell you that in June 2020 when the Kovid-19 epidemic was at its peak, Patanjali Ayurveda launched India’s first Ayurvedic medicine ‘Coronil’ and ‘Swasari’, claiming to cure the corona virus. After all-round questions and challenges were challenged in the court, the Indian government also pulled out of medicine.

After this, recently on 19 February, the company once again launched coronil and presented a scientific research paper claiming the treatment of corona. The special thing is that at the launch it was claimed that this drug is valid from the World Health Organization. Even more special is that this drug was launched in the presence of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. After this, the IMA questioned Union ministers and demanded a cleanliness from the Union ministers.
