NEW DELHI: Robust tremors, lasting for a number of seconds, shook most of north India on Tuesday night, creating panic among the many individuals.
In line with the US Geological Companies, the 6.5 magnitude quake had an epicenter 40 km south by south east of Afghanistan’s Jurm. It occurred at a depth of almost 190 km.
India’s Nationwide Middle for Seismology mapped it at 6.6 magnitude, and at 10.17.27 pm (IST) with the epicenter at 133 km south by south east of Fayzabad in northern Afghanistan.
Nevertheless, the tremors have been felt strongly throughout north India, from Kashmir to Delhi-NCR and experiences poured in on social media about individuals reporting followers and home equipment swaying as a result of robust tremors whereas many ran out of their homes.
