Thiruvananthapuram > Health Minister Veena George knowledgeable that the federal government has shaped an advisory committee to implement the organ transplant course of extra successfully within the state. The committee will operate beneath the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994. The duties of the Advisory Committee are to help and supply steering to the suitable authority. The minister mentioned that the committee will take steps to make the organ donation course of extra clear. That is the primary time that an advisory committee has been shaped within the state.
The Advisory Committee is chaired by the Extra Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary, Health Division for a time period of two years. The committee consists of 9 members together with member secretary, medical consultants, social employees, authorized consultants and representatives of non-governmental organizations/organ recipients.
Kottayam Authorities Medical School Professor & H.O.D. Cardio Vascular Thoracic Surgeon and Superintendent Dr. TK Jayakumar and Kochi Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Medical Professor and Chief Transplant Surgeon S Sudhindran are the medical consultants of the committee. Member Secretary is Director of Health Division. Public well being knowledgeable Dr. Dr. V. Raman Kutty as social activist. Khadija Muthams, Retired District Decide M. Rajendran Nair as Authorized Skilled and Dr. Former Professor & HOD, Division of Ophthalmology Thiruvananthapuram Medical School as different members.
