A MiG-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on Thursday. Barmer District Collector Lok Bandhu stated, “It was an Indian Air Force plane that crashed near Bhimda village in Bytu.”

The official web page of the Indian Air Force first wrote on Twitter, “Today at 9:10 pm, an IAF MiG 21 trainer aircraft crashed in the western sector during a training flight. Both the pilots suffered fatal injuries.”
Later, the IAF’s Twitter deal with confirmed the demise of each the pilots. “IAF deeply regrets the lack of lives and stands firmly with the bereaved households. A Courtroom of Inquiry has been ordered to establish the reason for the accident.”
