Internet desk. DMK veteran MK Stalin will now become the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. MK Stalin will take oath as the new Chief Minister of the state on 7 May. The DMK has returned to power in the state for ten years.
The DMK registered a landslide victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results announced on May 2. In the April 6 election in Tamil Nadu, the DMK wrested the seat of power from the ruling AIADMK.
After being in opposition for a decade, the DMK won a major victory in these assembly elections. The DMK alliance captured 151 seats out of 234 seats. At the same time, AIADMK has been able to win only 70 seats.
According to reports, MK Stalin will take oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at 11 am on May 7. In West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee will take oath as Chief Minister again on May 5.
