Mangaluru metropolis Police Commissioner Anupam Aggarwal stated, “After receiving the dead body near the temple premises, the police initially registered a case of unnatural death in connection with the incident and started investigation. The section imposed in this case is very harsh, if the charge is proved, the accused can be sentenced to life personally or as a group of life imprisonment and even death sentence.”
