Moral policing: 4 Bajrang Dal activists arrested in K’taka

BENGALURU: Karnataka police have arrested 4 activists hooked up to Bajrang Dal in reference to an ethical policing case in Dakshina Kannada district, police mentioned on Monday.

The arrested Hindu activists have been recognized as Shibin, Ganesh, Prakash and Chetan. In keeping with police, the accused had barged right into a jewelery store on December 6 and assaulted a youth belonging to a different faith.

They claimed that the youth was in a relationship with a Hindu co-worker and accused him of finishing up ‘love jihad’.

As per police, the incident had taken place within the limits of Kadri police station in Mangaluru metropolis.

It’s alleged that the group had dragged the boy round and overwhelmed him within the presence of police personnel who rushed to the spot following the incident.

A grievance was registered on this regard by the boy who was attacked.

The Kadri police, which had registered the case and brought up the investigation, then arrested the accused.
