Mumbai’s Kishore wins International Award for environmental project

News Desk| A 12-year-old boy from Mumbai working within the subject of setting has been honored with the title ‘2021 Worldwide Younger Eco-Hero’ for his efforts to unravel troublesome environmental issues. In response to a launch issued on Wednesday, Ayan Shankta ranked third within the age group of eight to 14 for his mission ‘Safety and Rejuvenation of Powai Lake.

He’s one in all 25 younger environmental activists from all over the world honored with the Worldwide Younger Eco-Hero Award by Motion for Nature (AFN). Underneath this award, environmentally acutely aware youth within the age group of eight to 16 years are honored who’re taking vital steps to unravel troublesome environmental issues. Ayan, who lives close to Powai Lake, mentioned, “My purpose is to carry again the previous glory of this lake as a clear and vibrant supply of water. This lake was as soon as the supply of ingesting water for Mumbai however now it has rubbish and sewer water.

Ayan’s mission goals to create consciousness about air pollution, clear the lake and defend its ecology. Other than working with NGOs to create consciousness, Ayan has ready a piece report on the circumstances of the lake and is at present engaged on a documentary on Powai Lake.
