Nagpur-based auto tycoon Pyare Khan

Nagpur-based automaker Pyare Khan has refused to accept Rs 85 lakh from the government for supplying oxygen to Kovid victims. He delivered 400 tonnes of medical oxygen to various hospitals in Maharashtra. Pyarekhon’s request to the authorities is that there should be no money and that it should be considered as Zakat during the holy month of Ramadan.

He considers bringing air to life during the plague as a sacred act to be done to mankind. Parekhan started his career selling oranges in front of the Nagpur railway station and became a big automaker through his own work. The company currently has assets of Rs 400 crore. The company has 1200 employees.
