NIA conducts searches at multiple locations in Kerala in PFI case


NEW DELHI: The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on Thursday performed searches at 56 places in Kerala in a case associated to illegal and violent actions being carried out by the In style Entrance of India (PFI), its office-bearers/cadres, members and associates.

The PFI has been discovered justifying the usage of prison pressure and inspiring weak youth to affix terrorist organizations. This case was registered suo moto by the NIA on September 19.

Searches had been performed at residences of seven State Government Committee members, seven Zonal Heads of PFI, 15 Bodily Coaching Instructors-Trainers of PFI, homes of seven PFI cadres educated in the usage of knives, daggers, swords and different forms of weapons to hold out murderous violent acts and 20 different suspects.

The raids had been carried out at three locations within the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, three locations in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, two locations every in Kottayam, Thrissur, at one place in Palakkad, seven locations at Malappuram, 13 locations in Ernakulam, 4 in Kozhikode. , 9 in Kannur and 6 at Wayanad.

Earlier on September 22, the NIA performed searches at 24 places in Kerala, together with the workplaces of PFI and residences of 13 accused.

“Searches have led to the recovery and seizure of sharp-edged weapons, incriminating material and digital devices,” the official mentioned.
