No justice yet for Lakhimpur Kheri farmers, says Tikait

Lakhimpur Kheri (UP):Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) chief Rakesh Tikait stated that the households of those that died within the Lakhimpur Kheri violence final 12 months are but to get justice.

He stated the nation will always remember the violence that befell in Tikunia village on at the present time final 12 months and claimed eight lives, and regardless of assurances, the federal government had not ensured justice for the farmers.

On October 3 final 12 months, farmers had been staging a protest in Tikunia village towards a go to of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya when 4 of them had been crushed beneath the wheels of a convoy of automobiles. “It was a week of peace. The violence that broke out claimed the lives of eight people. It was unfortunate,” Tikait stated.
