Kolkata : Chancellors and vice-chancellors of personal universities of the state didn’t attend the assembly known as by Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, who can be the chancellor. He has expressed his displeasure over this. He has mentioned that the situation of training in Bengal may be very worrying. The governor mentioned in a video message, “This situation is worrying and it points towards the rule of the ruler and not the rule of law.” Such a situation can’t be expressed. Within the video, the chairs arrange for the assembly on the Raj Bhavan are seen empty. The Governor mentioned that the State Authorities was appointing Vice Chancellors bypassing the Chancellor they usually have been being compelled to take a tricky stand on this improvement. The governor had earlier invited these chancellors and vice chancellors for a gathering to be held on December 20. Later the date was modified and the date was fastened as Thursday as non-public college officers expressed their lack of ability to attend the assembly because of the COVID-19 scenario.
