Non-resident pilgrims should be alert! Saudi government to identify fake Hajj service advertisements

Riyadh : The Saudi General Directorate of Public Safety has warned to be cautious of pretend ads on social media with guarantees of Hajj providers. The Saudi authorities gave a notification about this on May 11.

Authorities have urged expatriates and Saudi residents to not be fooled by such faux ads. Officers have identified that such faux ads are circulating on social media providing providers corresponding to performing Hajj for others, promoting Hajj bracelets and arranging journey providers for Hajj.

The authorities have clarified that such providers are unlawful and the organizations and people providing them are usually not approved to supply them. Officers have warned that these caught committing such wrongful acts will face extreme punishment.

The authorities have requested the pilgrims to strictly observe the Hajj phrases and situations.

Suspicious actions and different violations might be reported to safety authorities by calling 911 (Makkah, Riyadh, Japanese Area) and 999 (different areas).
