UDF education experts say they will not accept that there has been an increase of 6.80 lakh students in government schools as part of Kerala’s world-recognized public education protection program. They say the increase in the number of students during the LDF government is incorrect. The aim is only to create a sense that schools will rise to the center of excellence and create a great impression among the people.
Congressman’s reply to the stabbers
K Vimalan, State President, Kerala Gazetted Officers’ Union, a pro-Congress organization, reads an article in Vidyarangam magazine entitled ‘Empowering Public Education’ to answer all the questions of the new injectors. Vimalan explains the increase in the number of children with graphs. The number of students increased by 1, 56, 558 in the 2017–18 academic year, 1, 84, 728 in 2018–19 and 1,63, 558 in 2019–20. The author also cites an increase of 5,04,851 children in the first three years alone.

Following Kovid, 1.79 lakh students were enrolled in government schools even though classes were not held for the 2020–21 academic year. The author, who is also the joint director of the Department of Public Education Statistics, explains that this is the first time in 29 years that the number of children has increased.
