In June, Pakistan media had reported that New Delhi blocked the circulate of data to the nation by banning the official Twitter accounts of a number of Embassies, journalists and a few outstanding personalities, underneath India’s Data Expertise Act, 2000, Geo News reported.
Twitter issued an announcement on India banning accounts of Pakistani journalists.
“As explained in our Country Withheld Policy, it may be necessary to withhold access to certain content in response to a valid legal demand. “Deeply concerning that India has blocked the flow of information to Indian Twitter by withholding access to the following official accounts,” the Ministry of Overseas Affairs (MOFA) stated in tweet, whereas itemizing down the banned accounts.
