Presidential election on July 18; Counting of votes on the 21st

New Delhi: The Central Election Fee (CEC) has stated that the Presidential elections can be held on July 18. The election notification can be issued on June 15. The vote can be counted on July 21.

Incumbent President Ramnath Kovind’s time period ends on July 24. Previous to this, the method of electing a brand new President should be accomplished. . The Rajya Sabha Secretary General is the Chief Electoral Officer.

The President is elected by the Electoral Faculty, which consists of elected members of each Homes of Parliament, in addition to elected members of all State Assemblies, together with Delhi and the Union Territory of Puducherry. There are a complete of 4809 voters, together with 4033 MLAs.

Nominated members of the Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies could not contest the Presidential elections. The Election Fee has stated that there must be no whip within the elections. The brand new president can be sworn in on July 25.
