The President of India is elected by the members of the Electoral Faculty, which incorporates elected members of Parliament and all state legislatures together with the Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Nominated members of Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies and members of the Legislative Council should not eligible to vote.
A complete of 776 MPs and 4,033 MLAs will vote within the presidential election. The overall worth of votes is 10,86,431. The worth of the votes of MLAs is 5,43,231 and that of MPs is 5,43,200.
Presidential elections in 2017 have been held on 17 July and the consequence was declared on 20 July.
