Pulitzer Prizes 2021: The case of George Ployd’s death dominated the Pulitzer Prizes, Darnella Frazier, who recorded the video of the death, was awarded the prize

International Desk. The Pulitzer Prize 2021 has been announced today on Friday. These awards of international standard are announced by Columbia University. These awards are being announced virtually since last year due to Corona. Many reports based on George Floyd have received awards this year. Teenager Darnella Frazier, who recorded the video of George Floyd’s death, has received this award in the Special Citation category.

According to media reports, the award was given to the staff of The Star Tribune for reporting breaking news. The Boston Globe’s Matt Rochelle, Vernal Coleman, Laura Crimaldi, Evan Allen and Brendan McCarthy were honored in the Investigating Reporting category.

The Pulitzer Prize is given annually in 21 categories for achievements in journalism, literature and the arts. The award consists of a certificate and a cash prize of $15,000. The award was instituted in 1917 in the name of Joseph Pulitzer.
