Rahul paid tribute at the mausoleums of Gandhi, Nehru, Indira and Vajpayee

New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi paid tribute on Monday on the mausoleums of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri, veteran chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Gandhi first paid homage at ‘Veer Bhoomi’, the mausoleum of his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. After this, he visited Indira Gandhi’s ‘Shakti Sthal’, Nehru’s ‘Shanti Van’, Lal Bahadur’s ‘Vijay Ghat’, Mahatma Gandhi’s Rajghat and Vajpayee’s ‘Sadaiv Atal’ to pay homage.

For the primary time a member of the Gandhi household or a high chief of the Congress has reached Vajpayee’s samadhi. Vajpayee’s start anniversary was on December 25.
