Jaipur. In Rajasthan, three months ago, the consumption of oxygen was about 6500 cylinders per day, which has now increased to 31 thousand 425 cylinders per day. Medical Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has given this information. Raghu Sharma said that the Rajasthan government is doing its best to meet this unexpected demand.
He said that due to the continuous increase in the number of patients due to Kovid-19 epidemic in the state, the demand for medical oxygen cylinders in emergency is increasing continuously. Every effort is being made to meet this growing demand.
Medical Secretary Siddharth Mahajan said that the state government has made efforts on a war footing to manage oxygen. In view of the emergency situation, oxygen tankers have been supplied by air from Jamnagar (Gujarat). Also, a new plant has been set up in Alwar district with a capacity of producing 1000 cylinders per day in the state.
He informed that by next week, a 1200 cylinder per day capacity plant is being started by Hindustan Zinc Limited in Dariba (Rajsamand). Apart from this, production of 500 cylinders is going to start soon.
