Rajya Sabha: Rajya Sabha proceedings adjourned due to opposition’s uproar

New Delhi: Uproar within the Rajya Sabha over Hindenburg’s report continued on Friday and the proceedings of the Home had been adjourned until 2:30 pm. Inaugurating the proceedings of the Home within the morning, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar knowledgeable about receipt of adjournment notices of 15 members below Rule 267.

He stated that these notices are dismissed for not being in conformity with the provisions. He stated the notices had been served by Congress’s Mallikarjun Kharge, Pramod Tiwari and Amy Yagnik, Nationalist Congress Party’s Priyanka Chaturvedi, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s Tiruchi Shiva, Left events’ John Brittas, Okay Ilavaram and Okay Shivadasan, Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s Okay Keshav Rao and given by different members.

After this, when the Chairman tried to conduct Zero Hour within the Home, the members of the opposition events, together with the Congress, began talking loudly. The Chairman stated that the proceedings will be performed solely after there’s order within the Home. He appealed to the members to relax nevertheless it had no impact. On this Mr. Dhankhar adjourned the proceedings of the Home until 2.30 pm.
