Robotic machine for vegetable seedling grafting

Thrissur > Robotic grafting machine for manufacturing of excessive yielding and resistant vegetable seedlings. A machine able to producing 2000 seedlings per day has been put in for the primary time in Kerala within the Division of Vegetable Science of the University of Agriculture. The Japanese scientist, who is named the birthplace of vegetable grafting expertise, was amazed to see the machine.

The robotic grafting machine was imported from South Korea at a value of Rs 50 lakh with the funds of the State Horticulture Mission. The pinnacle of vegetable science division Dr. T Pradeep mentioned. It produces extremely productive tomato and chilli seedlings. He mentioned that grafted hybrid tomato and grafted hybrid chilli seedlings might be obtained from the college on the charge of 5 rupees.

Tomatoes are extra inclined to illness. To stop that, the stem of hybrid tomato is grafted on the stem of inexperienced eggplant seedlings which are immune to blight. When Takashi reached the vegetable science division in Vellanikkara, he was stunned to see the robotic grafting machine. He mentioned he had by no means seen such machines in Japan.
