MUMBAI: Veteran actor Sayaji Shinde has opposed the plan to chop 158 bushes for the development of a hostel on the premises of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Company-run Sion Hospital. This hospital is also called Sion Hospital. Sayaji Shinde has launched a video on his Instagram.
Sayaji Shinde questioned the hospital administration, asking how a healthcare facility which saves lives can permit the reducing of 158 bushes. The actor stated that the counting of bushes has began and two bushes have already been minimize. “I hope the hospital will drop its decision to cut trees for the construction of the new hostel,” he stated. It is like a bomb falling on these bushes. The world of birds and different animals dwelling on these bushes might be destroyed.

Confirming the plan to chop bushes, an official of Sion Hospital stated that the prevailing 1200-bed hospital is required to make it a 3000-bed hospital in future. (company)
