Share Market: Rupee falls 15 paise to 81.45 against US dollar in early trade


Mumbai: The rupee depreciated 15 paise to 81.45 in opposition to the US greenback in early commerce on Thursday amid a weak pattern within the home fairness markets and outflow of international funds. On the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened weak at 81.45 in opposition to the greenback, displaying a decline of 15 paise over its earlier closing.

The rupee had closed at 81.30 in opposition to the US greenback within the earlier session on Wednesday. In the meantime, the greenback index, which gauges the US greenback’s place in opposition to a basket of six main currencies, declined 0.09 per cent to 102.26. International oil benchmark Brent crude futures have been down 1.18 per cent at $83.98 a barrel.
