Malappuram: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sent a letter to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath requesting him to provide specialist treatment to journalist Siddique Kappan, who is in police custody. Raihanath told the media that the Chief Minister’s intervention had given him great relief.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan yesterday wrote a letter to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister asking him to transfer Siddiqui to a super specialty hospital. Captain, who was detained under the UAPA, is suffering from serious health problems. Kappan Kovid, who is suffering from heart disease and diabetes, has been admitted to KVM Hospital in Mathura.
The CM also pointed out that there were reports that Kappan, who was in poor health, was chained to the hospital. He should be urgently transferred to another hospital with modern life-saving facilities. The Kerala Chief Minister requested the UP Chief Minister to intervene to ensure a humane approach and expert treatment to Kappan.
