Solidarity to Sonam Wangchuk; Medhapatkar, who went on hunger strike, is in custody

New Delhi: Human rights activist Medhapatkar, who went on a starvation strike in protest towards the arrest of environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk in Ladakh by the Delhi Police, is in custody. Police took Medha into custody when she protested at Delhi's Gulab Vatika demanding the discharge of Sonam Wangchuk.

Sonam Wangchuk and her crew began the Delhi Chalo march from Leh on September 1 to demand statehood for Ladakh. Police arrested Sonam Wangchuk and round 120 followers who have been marching to Gandhi Samadhi final day. The strike was for his or her launch.
