Strictness will continue in UP, Corona curfew has been increased again.

Will apply till 17 May
Uttar Pradesh : The Yogi government has extended the Corona curfew by another 7 days amid growing Corona infection in Uttar Pradesh. Curfew was earlier on May 10, but now the restrictions will remain in force in the state till May 17. Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal has informed about this. He informed that essential services will continue during the Corona curfew. Strictness will remain in the state as before.
Lockdown has been extended in installments so far in UP. The good thing is that the effect of these strictures is now visible. CM Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that a reduction of 65,000 in active cases of corona in the last one week is a promising sign. The number of new covid cases in the state is continuously decreasing, while the recovery rate is getting better.
Although the infection may be decreasing in UP, there is a danger of infection in the village after the panchayat elections. This is the reason why the government has decided to increase the lockdown. According to the earlier order, the lockdown was supposed to end on the morning of 10 May, but now the lockdown will continue till the morning of 17 May.
In the bulletin issued on May 8, it has been reported that in the last 24 hours, 26,847 new cases of corona were reported in UP and 298 deaths were recorded. The highest number of 2,179 cases were reported in the capital, Lucknow. With this, the number of corona cases in UP has also crossed the 15 lakh mark whereas, so far, 15,170 deaths have been reported in the state. However, the good thing is that now the number of active cases in UP has come down to 2,45,736.
