A magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck north central Japan on Monday, the primary day of the brand new 12 months. The Japan Meteorological Company has issued a tsunami warning for coastal areas of Ishikawa, Niigata and Toyama prefectures. Hokuriku Electric Energy stated it was investigating any irregularities at its nuclear energy crops, NHK reported.
