New Delhi: The Supreme Court docket (SC) on Friday refused to entertain a public curiosity litigation (PIL) in search of imposition of handcuff marks on digital voting machines (EVMs) to assist voters determine candidates with prison background. “We cannot ask them (Election Commission of India) to put the handcuff symbol,” a bench headed by CJI DY Chandrachud instructed the PIL plaintiff, who appeared in particular person.

“You can withdraw it and pursue whatever remedies you have,” the bench mentioned.
