The 140-year-old British hospital was revived by Corolla volunteers.

Bangalore: During the country’s extreme crisis, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh came forward again. According to a report in the national media, Karnataka has taken steps to revive a large British-era hospital. The incidence of corona in Karnataka is increasing day by day, and in the meanwhile corona patients will benefit a lot from the volunteer work.

Bharat Gold Mines Limited Hospital (BGML) has been in a dilapidated condition for decades. This hospital was established in 180 by two English brothers. This hospital has 600 beds. It is said to have been the largest hospital in Asia at the beginning of the 20th century.

The incidence of corona is increasing day by day in Kolar district of Karnataka. And keeping in mind the growing graph of Corona, MP S Muniswamy decided that it would take a long time to build a new hospital and that is why this British-era hospital should be rebuilt. He enlisted the help of volunteers to revitalize the hospital and turn it into a coveted care center.

After deciding to make BGML a corona care center, the MP said, “After consulting with the Sangh family and other organizations, we decided to set up a 200+ bed covid care center. 250 volunteers have worked hard to revitalize the hospital. The hospital will be opened in the next 2-3 days.

RSS and BJP workers took the responsibility of cleaning the hospital, which has been inactive for almost 20 years, to turn it into a cowardly care center. According to an employee of the organization, more than 400 tractor rubbish was removed while cleaning the hospital.
