BCCI introduced its new contract checklist of 26 gamers on 26 March, as many gamers have been promoted within the pay slab class, there are some gamers who bought diminished wage within the new contract. Sunday was a day of wage hikes for Indian all-rounders as Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel moved up the order from their earlier class slabs. Jadeja, who made a shocking comeback in opposition to Australia within the Border Gavaskar Trophy, has been promoted from A to A+ class. Whereas Indian limited-overs vice-captain Hardik Pandya and all-rounder Akshar Patel moved from B to A class.
It was clearly not a very good day for the opposite teammates as some noticed a minor discount of their salaries whereas others have been dropped from the checklist altogether. A listing of 26 gamers who got annual participant contracts after the 2022-23 contracts have been launched on Sunday, out of which seven gamers have been faraway from the checklist. Deepak Chahar, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha and Mayank Agarwal who have been a part of the earlier season have been unnoticed of the checklist. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul, who confirmed poor type within the Border Gavaskar Trophy, has been demoted to the B class.
There are 4 grades within the BCCI contract checklist as ‘A+’ gamers get Rs 7 crore, ‘A’ gamers get Rs 5 crore. Whereas the gamers of ‘B’ and ‘C’ class get Rs 3 and 1 crore respectively.
