Kovalam> The propaganda that two branches of the CPI (M) have merged with the BJP is false. A few people who were expelled from the CPI (M) last November for anti-party activities have come out with a campaign to oust the party office, including the BJP office.
Mukola Prabhakaran and Vayalkara Madhu, who had fielded an independent candidate against the LDF candidate in the last local body elections, were expelled from the party on the same day. The media also published a press release of the CPI (M) in this regard.
The CPI (M) has no branches in Vizhinjam locality under the names of Panavila and Thottam. The party has no branch office there. Madhu had earlier illegally converted a shed used for storing agricultural implements in Vayalala into a building. But it has no building number or documents.
When the tehsildar inspected the complaint and issued a notice to demolish it, the BJP turned into an office and launched a vicious campaign to protect private property.
CPI (M) Kovalam area secretary PS Harikumar said the campaign to seize the CPI (M)’s office by hoisting the BJP’s flag on a building owned by a person expelled from the party was just a campaign for political gain.
