To avoid harassment, tourist vehicles entering Goa to be given unique stickers: CM

PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday stated that vacationers getting into the state shall be given distinctive stickers to repair on their automobiles, so they don’t seem to be harassed (by police) whereas transferring throughout the coastal state.

Sawant, whereas presenting the funds for the fiscal yr, stated that paperwork of vacationer automobiles shall be checked on the border test posts.

“In order to allow tourists a comfortable movement across the state, vehicles entering Goa will be thoroughly checked at the border for the documents and will be given unique stickers to fix on their vehicles. Such vehicles will not be stopped (by police) for checking documents anywhere in the state,” Sawant stated.

Of late, vacationers have been elevating complaints on social media that they had been stopped to test paperwork of automobiles and had been being harassed.

Few months in the past, Goa Income Minister Atanasio Monserrate had stated that site visitors police had been really harassing vacationers by fining them, as a substitute of fixing site visitors issues present within the coastal state.
