Today 190 institutions are inspected; Action against 16 shops; Special inspection launched at juice shops; 6361 kg of stale fish were destroyed


Thiruvananthapuram: The Division of Meals Security at present carried out 190 inspections as a part of the ‘Good Meals is the Proper of the Nation’ marketing campaign. Motion was taken in opposition to 16 outlets which weren’t licensed or registered. Notices have been issued to 59 establishments. 20 kilograms of unclean meat was seized and destroyed. 8 samples have been despatched for testing. Within the final 10 days, 2373 inspections have been carried out throughout the state. Motion was taken in opposition to 217 outlets which weren’t licensed or registered. Notices have been issued to 776 establishments. 334 kilograms of unclean meat was seized and destroyed. 193 samples have been despatched for testing.

Particular inspection of juice outlets began. 199 juice outlets have been inspected. Motion taken in opposition to 4 juice outlets. 6 Surveillance samples have been collected. Notices have been issued to 27 outlets. 88 empty milk packets, 16 kg of fruits, 5 kg of dates and 12 bottles of honey have been seized and destroyed.

To date 6361 kg of stale and chemically contaminated fish have been destroyed as a part of Operation Fish. Out of 4255 assessments throughout this era, 2296 samples have been collected and despatched for testing. Notices have been issued to 90 folks. As a part of Operation Jaggery, which was launched to detect adulteration in jaggery, 544 institutions have been inspected. Notices have been issued to five establishments.
