Tripura Elections 2023: 45 millionaire candidates, 41 have criminal cases against them, Deputy Chief Minister richest


Tripura Elections 2023: Out of a complete of 259 candidates attempting their luck within the meeting elections to be held in Tripura on February 16, 45 candidates are crorepatis. Affiliation for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has given this data within the report.

BJP has the utmost variety of crorepati candidates.

In line with the ADR report, the utmost variety of 17 crorepati candidates belong to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). After this, 9 candidates of Tipra Motha whereas seven candidates of Communist Party of India (Marxist) are crorepatis. In line with the ADR report, six Congress candidates are crorepatis, 4 Trinamool Congress candidates and two unbiased candidates are additionally crorepatis.

Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma the richest candidate

Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, contesting from Charilam constituency, is the richest candidate with movable and immovable belongings price Rs 15.58 crore. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha is the second richest candidate with belongings of Rs 13.90 crore. Manik Saha is contesting from City Bardovali seat.

Abhijit Sarkar of Tipra Motha is the third richest candidate

Abhijeet Sarkar of Tipra Motha is the third richest candidate on this election with complete belongings of Rs 12.57 crore. The typical belongings of BJP candidates, which fielded a complete of 55 candidates, can also be the best at Rs 1.86 crore.

Of the 43 Left Entrance candidates, 9 (16 per cent) have felony circumstances towards them. Eight candidates have declared circumstances associated to try to homicide towards themselves.

9 candidates solely fifth go, 65 graduates

In line with the ADR report, out of complete 259 candidates, 65 are graduates, 55 candidates are class twelfth go and 39 candidates are class tenth go. Aside from this, 36 candidates have studied as much as class VIII whereas 9 candidates have studied solely as much as class V.
