A day after the tragic homicide of a tailor in Udaipur, Jamiat Ulema Hind termed it as “un-Islamic” and demanded the arrest of those that used derogatory language whereas condemning the killing within the identify of the Prophet. Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind mentioned, “The Udaipur incident is a very sad, un-Islamic and inhuman act. The law of the state will act accordingly in this case as well. As we have seen in many places. Opposed mob lynching, we also consider this inhuman act extremely dangerous for law and order. We are always against taking law in our hands.
Maulana Madani said that whatever happened because of the derogatory words against the Prophet was bad but it is necessary to show tolerance and patience to maintain law and order and communal harmony in the country.
He said that just as we oppose this incident, we strongly oppose the use of derogatory words to insult the dignity of any religious person or hurt the sentiments of those who follow any religion.
Maulana Madani said that the country’s image has been tarnished all over the world due to the silence of the powerful people in the country and not arresting the criminals. He said, “We as soon as once more demand from the federal government to right away arrest those that insult the Prophet and provides them extreme punishment in keeping with the legislation in order that nobody dares to take action in future, in addition to Muslims all around the world.” May there be peace.”
